Break and enters appeal, Whitsundays

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify those involved in the break and enter of multiple vehicles in Proserpine late last week.

Between 3.30am and 4am on Friday, March 19 unknown people were observed breaking into multiple cars parked at the airport where a number of items were stolen.

They left in a grey sedan down Lascelles Drive towards the Bruce Highway.

Just before 5am on Sunday, March 21 a grey Subaru, bearing stolen registration plates (699WVY) pulled up at a Sarina service station where the driver paid for fuel.

Around two hours later the same car was seen travelling north at Balberra, where it will be alleged the vehicle was involved in an evade offence and continued towards Mackay at high speed.

Anyone with further information or vision is urged to contact police.
