The Crisafulli Government is delivering affordable, reliable and sustainable energy for Queenslanders, including lower power prices for many small businesses and families.
The Budget strengthens the foundation for a fresh start, with better services through a stronger economy.
Government-owned Ergon will pass on savings to regional Queenslanders in the Energy Roadmap Price Drop of around 7 per cent for households and 8 per cent for small businesses from 1 July.
The Budget also delivers a record $3.2 billion CopperString investment, including $420 million in 2026-27 to support construction activities for the Eastern Link as well as enabling works for the Western Link, including through the North West Energy Fund.
The Budget also increases the Electricity Maintenance Guarantee to $1.8 billion over five years, building on an investment of almost $400 million in 2025-26, including four major overhauls at Callide C3 and C4, Tarong and Wivenhoe power stations.
Treasurer and Energy Minister David Janetzki said the Crisafulli Government was delivering on its plan for affordable, reliable and sustainable energy for Queenslanders.
"This Government is taking a balanced, disciplined approach to energy by improving what we have while building what we need for the future," Treasurer Janetzki said.
"We're putting downward pressure on power prices delivering a nearly seven per cent drop for regional households in the first year after releasing our Energy Roadmap.
"In contrast, in the first year after the former Labor Government released its Energy and Jobs plan, regional families were hit with jumps of 29 per cent."
Treasurer Janetzki said the record investment into the nation building CopperString project showed the Government was delivering on its commitments.
"This Budget backs in energy infrastructure, backs in jobs in the North and North West and backs in our potential as a State," he said.
"This investment into CopperString is an $800 million increase on last year's Budget and will not only help construction activities on the Eastern link but unlock up to $10 billion worth of private energy generation investment along the corridor."
Treasurer David Janetzki said the 2026-27 Budget was about delivering for Queensland.
"We are delivering on our promises, with relief you can rely on through responsible decisions for now and the future, and no new or increased taxes," he said.
"This Budget strengthens the foundations we've laid in making Queensland safer, restoring health services, delivering a place to call home for more Queenslanders, building generational infrastructure, getting the Games back on track, as well as playing our part to ease national cost of living pressures."
