Police have charged two teenage girls following investigations into an alleged burglary with violence at MacGregor in the early hours of 18 May.
It is alleged around 1.30am, three teenagers broke into a Craigview Street residence and threatened a 24-year-old man with a knife taken from the address, while demanding property and vehicle keys.
Police will further allege the victim was forced outside towards his vehicle before a physical altercation occurred. The group allegedly stole a number of items from the victim, including a grey Honda Jazz, before leaving the scene in the vehicle.
The stolen vehicle was located abandoned a short time later at MacGregor.
Following investigations, detectives from the Morningside Child Protection and Investigation Unit executed search warrants at several addresses across Brisbane on 18 May.
A 14-year-old Calamvale girl has been charged with two counts of common assault and one count each of enter dwelling with intent, robbery armed, deprivation of liberty, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 13-year-old Kuraby girl has been charged with four counts of common assault and one count each of enter dwelling with intent, robbery armed, deprivation of liberty, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and assaults occasioning bodily harm.
The pair's police bail was refused and they are due to appear before Brisbane Childrens Court today, 19 May.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or relevant CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the MacGregor area during the early hours of 18 May to contact police.
Investigations remain ongoing.
