Get ready to eat, sip and savour your way through one of Camden's favourite events, with TASTE Camden promising an afternoon packed with delicious food, live entertainment and family fun.
Held on Sunday 20 September, 12-5pm, at Camden Town Farm, the FREE event will serve up the very best of the region, bringing together local food vendors, market stalls, entertainment and interactive activities for all ages.
Food lovers can look forward to more than 60 stallholders at the event, including:
- Loaded Baklava;
- OMG Decadent Donuts;
- Seagulls on Argyle;
- Merino Brewery;
- Powder Monkey Group;
- That's Amore Italian Woodfire Pizza;
- La Gitana Paella Master;
- Mr Pig Food Truck;
- Wagu Blacks; and
- The Citrus Factory.
Chef demonstrations will take centre stage, with the highlight being this year's guest chef, beloved TV cook and bestselling author, Justine Schofield. Justine will bring her signature warmth, French flair and flavour-packed cooking, taking to the demonstration stage to share delicious recipes, handy kitchen tips and plenty of foodie inspiration.
Attendees will also enjoy a feast of free activities throughout the day, including:
- Giant yard games;
- An inclusive space;
- Face painting;
- A photobooth;
- A fire truck;
- Kids' craft workshops - Make a Grass Head and Make a Keychain;
- Kids' food workshop - Make an Edible Bracelet; and
- Roving entertainers.
The entertainment line-up will also be packed with flavour, featuring:
- The Honey Sippers, a Camden-based acoustic duo performing a relaxed mix of blues, folk, soft rock and jazz;
- Tamara Roldan, a talented local singer-songwriter known for her soulful acoustic performances and contemporary favourites;
- Riley and Aurielle, an acoustic duo delivering smooth harmonies and a mix of popular classics and modern hits;
- Taste of Soul, a high-energy band bringing the best of soul, funk, Motown and R&B classics to the stage; and
- Fiona Treloar - an experienced Sydney vocalist with a versatile repertoire spanning pop, rock, soul, funk and jazz.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said TASTE Camden was the perfect opportunity to enjoy everything the Camden area has to offer.
"TASTE Camden is one of our most popular annual events and it's easy to see why," she said.
