Byford Incident

Mundijong Police are investigating an incident in Kardan Boulevard, Byford this morning, 14 November 2020.

Around 5:30am the victim had started his Nissan Patrol and opened his garage door. He momentarily exited the vehicle and returned to find a man in the driver's seat. As the man started to reverse the vehicle out of the garage, the victim opened the front passenger door and entered the vehicle, attempting to stop the man from driving away.

The vehicle crashed through a fence and into the garage of a neighbouring property before the offender fled the area on foot.

He is described as 170cm tall, medium build, dark skinned, wearing a black jacket and black shorts. He spoke with a New Zealand accent.

The victim, a man aged in his 20's was not injured during the incident.
