Cambridge Reserve Dog Off-leash Park Now Open For Play

We're wagging our tails with joy - the Cambridge Reserve dog off-leash park is now complete!

Located within Cambridge Reserve in Hoppers Crossing, the park features a large, fenced lawn area for dogs to run free, an activity zone with agility equipment and dog-friendly amenities, including a drinking fountain, dog bag dispenser, bin and more.

The new dog off-leash park was officially opened over the weekend by Wyndham City's Grange Ward Councillor Shannon McGuire and Tarneit MP Dylan Wight, with the project supported by a $350,000 Victorian Government grant through the New and Upgraded Dog Parks Program.

Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said the new Cambridge Reserve dog off-leash park was sure to get the woof of approval from local canines.

"We know how important our furry friends are to local families, and this new off-leash park at Cambridge Reserve is a fantastic space for your four-legged friends to run, play, and socialise," Cr Shaw said.

"It's a great addition to our growing collection of dog-friendly open spaces across Wyndham."

Wyndham City's Grange Ward Councillor Shannon McGuire added: "This project has transformed a section of Cambridge Reserve into a vibrant, safe, and accessible space for our community and their dogs."

"It's another example of how we're delivering on our commitment to enhancing neighbourhood liveability."

The Cambridge Reserve dog off-leash park follows the recent opening of another facility at Alcock Road Reserve in Truganina and aligns with the Wyndham Dog Off-Leash Plan 2022 and Wyndham's Open Space Strategy 2045 - both aimed at creating inclusive, accessible, and connected outdoor spaces across the municipality.
