Camden's two popular water play spaces will reopen shortly, giving locals plenty of opportunities to cool off, splash around and enjoy the warmer weather.
Dawson-Damer Water Play Space in Oran Park and Curry Reserve Water Play Space in Elderslie will open on Saturday 26 September 2026 and remain open until Sunday 25 April 2027.
Located at the corner of Dick Johnson Drive and O'Toole Avenue, Dawson-Damer Park is one of the Macarthur region's largest water play space, featuring water slides, water spinners and a range of other water-based activities. The wider 2.5-hectare park also includes a Ninja Warrior-inspired course, swings, trampolines, basketball facilities, picnic areas and more.
Curry Reserve Water Play Space, located on Camden Valley Way in Elderslie, features a large splash pad with 36 play features, providing inclusive and accessible fun for children of all ages. The reserve also offers picnic shelters, barbecue facilities, children's play equipment, parking and a cycle path.
Both water play spaces are accessible and inclusive, with wet play wheelchairs available for hire to help children and people living with disability enjoy the water play areas. Both facilities also feature accredited Changing Places facilities with specialised amenities for people with high support needs and their carers.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Vince Ferreri, said the reopening of the water play spaces was a highlight for local families.
"It's terrific to be able to escape the heat and enjoy some water play close to home at our Dawson-Damer and Curry Reserve Water Play Spaces," he said.
"I think everyone is ready for more sunshine and excited to enjoy the beautiful spring and summer months coming up!"
Both facilities will operate daily from 10am to 7pm throughout the season.
