Carers Day Out 2018

There are approximately 904,000 carers in NSW, who provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend with a disability, mental illness, drug and alcohol dependencies, chronic condition, terminal illness or who is frail. Join us for National Carers Week as an opportunity to spread the word and to let carers know why we care.

National Carers Week 2018, running from Sunday 14 - Saturday 20 October, sets out to recognise and celebrate carers in NSW and Australia wide.

Carers Day Out will be hosted by Carers NSW, with the support of The City of Sydney on Tuesday 16 October. We invite anyone caring for a family member or friend to attend the event for a free day of fun, relaxation and pampering.

Elena Katrakis, Chief Executive Officer, Carers NSW said:

"One in eight Australians are carers. Carers Day Out is an opportunity to show appreciation for the outstanding contribution that they make each day to our community. We’re excited to build on the success of last year’s event and hope to see a great turnout."
