Rugby Australia and the Western Force are thrilled to confirm Carlo Tizzano has put pen to paper in re-committing to Australian Rugby until the end of 2027.
Born and bred in Perth, the RugbyWA Academy product has had a breakout 18 months on the field, finding himself in strong Super Rugby Pacific form at the Force resulting in his Test debut in August last year.
An ultimate competitor, the 25-year-old began his Rugby journey with the University of Western Australia club and was a standout among the WA Schoolboys team, earning selection in the 2018 Australian Schoolboys side.
The following year, while plying his trade in Fortescue Premier Grade, Tizzano was selected for the Australian Under 20s and was also part of the Force side that lifted the National Rugby Championship trophy later in 2019.
In 2020 he moved to the NSW Waratahs as he sought a Super Rugby debut, named on the bench for their round one clash against the Crusaders in Nelson.
After 18 appearances for NSW, he moved to English club Ealing Trailfinders for of one season where he dominated before moving home to the Western Force in April of 2023.
He has since gone on to be a Super Rugby Pacific fan favourite and a regular starter for his hometown club, with his Wallabies call-up coming in last year's Flight Centre Rugby Championship.
The dynamic openside flanker went on to make a strong impact in his five Tests in Wallaby gold in 2024 and has continued his strong form for the Force in 2025.
Tizzano joins Filipo Daugunu, Len Ikitau, Jake Gordon, Fraser McReight, Harry Wilson and another of other Wallabies in re-committing to Australian Rugby until at least the home Rugby World Cup.
Wallaby number 982 and Western Force flanker Carlo Tizzano said: "I'm really excited to be staying in Australian rugby for two more years, especially in Perth with the Force.
"I couldn't see myself playing for any other Super Rugby franchise. To help contribute to this Force team earning more wins and reaching semi-finals is something I'm really excited for.
"I'm looking forward to earning more opportunities with the Wallabies. It's an exciting time in Australian rugby now with the upcoming British and Irish Lions tour and the home World Cup in 2027 which were two big factors."
Rugby Australia's Director of High Performance, Peter Horne said: "Carlo is a great example of the West Australian Rugby pathways and it's certainly a positive to see him re-commit for a further two years with Australian Rugby.
"He has had a standout last 12 months and we know he's extremely motivated to keep working hard and improving his game."
Western Force Head Coach Simon Cron said: "We're really excited to have Carlo re-commit to the Force. I know he's really passionate about rugby within WA.
"When Carlo returned to Perth, he and I sat down and talked about our visions for rugby in WA and the Force.
"Seeing him continue to grow his game and develop has really enthused us and when Carlo became a Wallaby, it was a huge highlight for a number of people within the organisation. For us, it's about us finding future Carlo Tizzanos from within WA.
"The key thing at the Force going forward is to retain the core playing group like Carlo, have them continue the journey that's been started and then add players around the core group to continue to strengthen our game and drive to push towards finals."
