Charges Follow Mangawhai Burglary

Police have laid charges following an aggravated burglary in Mangawhai on Monday afternoon.

"Our enquiries have been ongoing in recent days, have since charged a Mangawhai man over the offending, who is not known to the occupants at the address," Acting Detective Inspector Megan Goldie, Waitematā CIB, says

The 26-year-old has been charged with aggravated burglary and assaults with intent to injure. The man remains in hospital.

"He has been remanded in custody, and the matter will be back in the North Shore District Court on 24 September."
