Police are appealing for public assistance as an investigation continues into the theft of 18 beehives from a property in the Clarence Valley earlier this year.
Investigators have been told that between 12.30pm on Friday 24 April 2026 and 9am on Tuesday 28 April 2026, 18 beehive boxes – containing active bee colonies – were stolen from a property on Wooli Road at Pillar Valley.
The boxes and bee colonies have an estimated total value of more than $8,000.
The boxes are described as polystyrene boxes of various colours including forest green, eucalyptus green, sky blue, pollen yellow and lavender.
Officers from the Rural Crime Prevention Team have commenced an investigation.
