China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology of Nepal (DHM) held two joint video consultations on the afternoon of August 26 and the evening of August 31, respectively. The two sides had indepth discussions on realtime weather conditions, expected rainfall, weather trends in disasterhit areas, and meteorological service needs for rescue operations.
During the consultations, experts from the DHM raised specific requests, to which the CMA provided prompt responses. The National Meteorological Centre (NMC, CMA) released global severe weather monitoring and forecasting for Nepal. The National Satellite Meteorological Centre (NSMC, CMA) activated the FengYun Satellite International User Emergency Mechanism for disaster prevention and mitigation, providing the latest FengYun satellite data and highresolution remotesensing products. The National Meteorological Information Centre (NMIC, CMA) delivered products including Chinaregional 3kmresolution, 10minuteupdated 3D atmospheric realtime data and global realtime precipitation data.
