Construction on the six-level Cobblebank Community Services Hub will begin later this year, with the facility set to deliver much-needed services to the fast-growing community in the City of Melton.

The 5 Green Star rated Hub is expected to be operational by late 2026 and will provide a range of services including employment support, family violence prevention, disability, mental health, family support, drug rehabilitation, refugee support and other culturally specific services for Indigenous and CALD communities.

City of Melton Mayor Cr Steve Abboushi took time this week to visit the site with Federal Member for Hawke Sam Rae MP, with the Australian Government recently announcing $15 million funding toward the project through the Thriving Suburbs program.

The project will be delivered by Council with support from all levels of government. The Victorian Government has also provided $4.6 million in funding through the Growing Suburbs Fund.

The Australian Government also provided $15 million from its Thriving Suburbs Fund to go towards construction of the new Plumpton Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
