Coles wants to assure customers that all Coles Brand frozen vegetables are Australian grown and are not included in the recall issued by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) on 9 July 2018.
Coles does not stock any frozen vegetable products supplied by Greenyard Frozen Belgium NV.
Coles sources more than 50 million kilograms of Australian grown frozen vegetables and potatoes from Simplot each year, to produce more than 30 Coles Brand frozen vegetable products.
As an Australian company, we are keen to support other Australian businesses to deliver great quality local products to our customers. To do this, we pride ourselves on having an Australian First Sourcing Policy, which means that we source Australian grown food wherever and whenever we can.
Coles is also pleased to confirm that all suppliers of Coles Brand food products have updated their packaging to be compliant with the new Country of Origin requirements, which came into force on July 1. ---
