Collingwood Leisure Centre Closure - Swim School Update

Yarra City Council

We recently sent our Swim School members an email notifying you of the temporary closure of Collingwood Leisure Centre due to electrification works.

All Collingwood students will need to move their enrolment to classes at Fitzroy Swimming Pool or Richmond Recreation Centre for Term 4.

There are two ways to move your Collingwood student to Fitzroy or Richmond depending on which class option suites you.

Option 1: Enrol in a new class for Term 4

Choose a new class at Richmond or Fitzroy for Term 4. When selecting your class in the portal, be sure to choose an option with "Starts Term 4 2026" in the title.

Option 2: Transfer to an existing class at Richmond

Choose an existing class at Richmond that is already running and has a vacancy. Your transfer will take effect immediately, so your child should attend the Richmond class for the remainder of Term 3.

How to move classes

Option 1

  1. Log into your account on the online portal and select your preferred location.
  2. Find the class you would like to transfer to. New Term 4 enrolments will have 'Starts Term 4 2026' in the title.
  3. Select 'Enrol now' next to the class of your choice then choose the name of the child you are enrolling then select 'Enrol now' again.

Your child will now be enrolled into a new class beginning in Term 4. Your Collingwood class will auto cancel at the end of Term 3.

You will need to reset your direct debit details as this is a new enrolment.

Option 2

If you choose a class at Richmond that is already running and has a vacancy, the process will be slightly different. These classes will not have "Starts Term 4 2026" listed next to them.

To transfer into one of these classes:

  1. Login to the portal and select the class you would like your child to join.
  2. Select "Transfer" to move your child into the new class.
  3. The transfer will take effect immediately.

In this case your Collingwood enrolment has transferred to Richmond, and you will not need to reset your direct debit information.
