Congratulations to 2020 Nobel Laureates in Physics

The wait is over! The winners of this year's Nobel Prize in Physics have been announced.

Congratulations go to the three Laureates sharing this year's prize for their work on black hole discoveries – Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez.

Dr. Penrose was awarded half the prize for "the discovery that black hole formation is a robust prediction of the general theory of relativity" and Dr. Genzel and Dr. Ghez received the second half for "the discovery of a supermassive compact object at the centre of our galaxy"

In celebration of their achievement, we have put together a collection of the Laureate's relevant papers published on IOPscience. Some of these papers were cited in the Nobel Prize scientific background document and all the articles can be found here. We hope you enjoy reading them!
