NSW Consumers are being warned not to deal with Open Close It Pty Ltd trading as Shutters Quickly.
The sole director of the company is Nicholas Paxinos. Shutters Quickly operates to supply and install blinds, plantations shutters and security shutters. The company uses the website www.shuttersquickly.com.au to promote its business.
Since 27 January 2022, NSW Fair Trading has received 76 complaints about Shutters Quickly.
Some complaints relate to consumers paying a large deposit for the supply and installation of blinds or shutters in circumstances where the company has failed to complete installations or provide refunds.
Consumers also complain the business is unresponsive to attempts to contact by email and telephone to discuss issues including failures to supply or refund.
Commissioner for Fair Trading Natasha Mann is urging consumers to read their terms and conditions and check for reviews on businesses prior to making any decisions and to inform themselves as much as possible before paying large deposits or entire transaction amounts to traders before receiving any goods or services.
