There was one case reported in a recently returned international traveller in hotel quarantine.

There were 81 active cases in Victoria - 72 locally acquired and 9 overseas acquired cases.

There was one COVID-19 case in hospital in Victoria yesterday.

The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,798.

Update: Outbreaks

All of the 13 new cases announced today are linked to the current outbreak.

One of the cases was in isolation for their entire infectious period.

Of the 13 new locally acquired cases:

One is the case who contracted the virus at the MCG and who has returned to Mildura - and another is his household contact.

Four are linked to Miss Frankie - all who dined at the venue.

Two are linked to Trinity Grammar - another two students.

One is another social contact of the Phillip Island case.

One is linked to AAMI Park.

One is linked to Young and Jacksons.

One is linked to Bacchus Marsh Grammar, who was in isolation during their infectious period.

And one is the first case emerging from the Euro Finals event at the Crafty Squire, for a total of 13 - and a total 72 for the outbreaks.

Previously, it would have been very unlikely that someone who contracted the virus would transmit it to a stranger 36 hours later.

More than 15,800 primary close contacts are identified by the Department as of this morning.

The Department and local public health units continue to support the Mildura community.

New testing sites have been deployed, including a centre at Mildura Recreation Reserve from this morning.

Locals are reminded they need to get tested only if they have been to a Tier 1 or Tier 2 exposure site (or have otherwise been advised to do so by the Department), or if they have symptoms.

An online community forum will be held in Mildura tonight, with presentations from Mildura Mayor Cr Jason Modica, the Department of Health, and the Local Public Health Unit.

Exposure sites are published at Case alerts - public exposure sites.

The Department regularly manages exposure sites that it doesn't publish online, particularly if these sites represent lower-risk exposures, or if they have comprehensive record-keeping and contact tracing measures, or if they identify small, private locations.

Exposure sites are regularly reviewed based on intelligence and evidence, following case interviews.

Reminder: Advice for AAMI Park

Members of the public at AAMI Park for the Wallabies v France match on Tuesday 13 July are asked to follow new advice for this exposure site, which is of significant concern to public health teams.

We have expanded the Tier 1 exposure site and upgraded a large number of people who were Tier 3 to Tier 2.
