Council's Forster service centre relocating to Little Street

MidCoast Council

MidCoast Council is relocating the Forster service centre from Breese Parade to the Visitor Information Centre building at Little Street Forster.

At the new location, customers will find all the same services, with the same friendly faces.

The service centre at 4 -12 Breese Parade will close on Friday 28 October at midday and will reopen at 12 Little Street on Monday 31 October at 8:30am.

Parking, including disabled parking, will be available at the Visitor Information Centre car park as well as in the foreshore car park. There is also a bus stop nearby for those who use public transport.

Council's customer service function will operate out of the Visitor Information Centre until the Civic Precinct is completed.

"This temporary location was selected because it's only one street away from the future home of MidCoast Council's Forster service point at the Civic Precinct," said Council's General Manager, Adrian Panuccio.

"The former MidCoast Council Forster administration centre and library is currently being marketed by Colliers of Newcastle for sale or lease. This is part of the endorsed financing strategy for Council's centralised Administration and Customer Service Centre at Yalawanyi Ganya, Taree," he added.

The Forster Library is staying at its current Breese Parade location until the new library building is completed at the Civic Precinct.

Along with visiting a customer service centre, members of the community can also connect with Council, online at www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au or phone on 02 7955 7777. Accounts, including rates can be paid online, over the phone and at post offices.
