COVID-19 Directions have been updated in South Australia

The changes for the Cross Border Travel Direction are as follow:

The Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel – Associated Direction No 32) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 came into effect at 12 noon Saturday 17 July 2021.

The following change is in place:

South Australian residents returning from Victoria are now subject of Level 4 requirements on arrival, irrespective of where they have travelled in Victoria:

  • COVID Test day 1, 5 & 13
  • Self-quarantine for 14 days
  • Must wear a mask (covering nose and mouth) at any time they come into contact with the public for 14 days after arrival.

Note: Where a suitable place of quarantine is not able to be identified, those travellers will be referred to SA Health.

This Direction means travellers who have been in Victoria in the last 14 days are prohibited unless they are essential travellers or permitted arrivals who are Level 4.

Other existing requirements remain. The information above only highlights the changes key made to the Directions and does not reflect all requirements. Members of the public are encouraged to see the full Directions for further information.
