CRDC Senior Research and Development (R&D) Manager, Susan Maas, has been invited to complete a six-month secondment to one of CRDC's research partners, the Cooperative Research Centre for Developing Northern Australia (CRCNA).
Susan, whose R&D portfolio for CRDC includes northern Australia, will join the CRCNA team part time for a period of six months to help CRCNA deliver their largest research program to date - the Cotton, Grains and Cattle (CGC) initiative - across northern Western Australia, the Northern Territory and northern Queensland. CRDC is a partner in the CGC program.
CRCNA CEO Anne Stünzner said Susan brings a wealth of agronomic and project management experience to the team.
"I'm excited to welcome Susan to the team to work on an exciting and innovative R&D program.
"I'd like to thank CRDC for their ongoing support of the CGC program and for enabling Susan to come and work with us for these next few months."
"The CRCNA and CRDC have previously co-invested in cropping projects in northern Queensland and I am excited to continue this partnership," she said.
CRDC Executive Director Ian Taylor said Susan's secondment was the latest development in a strong partnership between CRDC and CRCNA, built on shared goals.
