Culvert Installation Works On Boorga Road

Council wishes to advise that culvert installation works (SW03) on Boorga Road, approximately 100 m from the Druitt Road and McCarthy Road intersection, are scheduled to commence on Monday, 20 April 2026.

Boorga Road will remain open to traffic for the duration of these works; however, traffic conditions will be modified to ensure the safety of workers and road users. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 4 to 8 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

This project is funded under the Australian Government's Housing Support Program and Council's internal contributions through the Lake Wyangan Development Contribution Plan.

The scope of works includes, but is not limited to, excavation, installation of culverts, stormwater drainage works, and associated civil construction activities. Normal working hours are between 6:30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday; however, works may also be undertaken on Saturdays where required.

Traffic and Access Arrangements:

  • Boorga Road will remain open to traffic during the works.
  • A reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will apply through the work zone.
  • Traffic control measures, including signage and traffic controllers, will be in place.
  • Motorists may experience minor delays and are requested to follow all directions.

These works may cause minor disruptions to normal travel routes. Council appreciates your patience and cooperation during this time. For the safety of workers, failure to comply with traffic control measures may result in enforcement under applicable road regulations, and offenders may be liable for damage to road or traffic infrastructure.
