Dangerous operation arrestin Brisbane

Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage in relation to the alleged dangerous operation of a motor vehicle around several Brisbane suburbs this morning (November 6).

Around 11.30am a black Toyota Aurion with Queensland registration 883YXJ was seen driving southbound on Dawson Parade Keperra when it collided with a marked police vehicle.

It is alleged the vehicle was then driven in a dangerous manner along numerous roads, including Samford Road, Wardell Street and Newmarket Road.

The vehicle had a minor collision with a truck and two other vehicles on Bowen Bridge Road, Herston, and was last sighted turning into Gregory Terrace, Spring Hill.

Shortly afterwards, the vehicle was observed travelling south over the Story Bridge, and due to the dangerous manner of driving, police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device at Morningside.

The vehicle continued before stopping in Main Street, Kangaroo Point, where a 17-year-old boy was taken into custody without incident.

Police are asking for any members of the community who may have witnessed or have dash cam recordings of the black Toyota Aurion, particularly in relation to the manner of the driving of that vehicle to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
