The Cornell China Center is continuing its annual Deans' Dialogue series with a conversation on artificial intelligence (AI) March 26 at 8:30 p.m.
China Center director Ying Hua will lead a panel of educators and scientists as they take an in-depth look at AI and its growing prominence in designing future solutions for many aspects of life and industry.
The panelists bring expertise from academia and business that spans both the United States and China, providing an especially unique perspective on the topic of AI. These experts include:
- Greg Morrisett, the Jack and Rilla Neafsey Dean and Vice Provost of Cornell Tech;
- Kavita Bala, dean, Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science;
- Ya-Qin Zhang, dean, Tsinghua Institute for AI Industry Research; and
- Hongjiang Zhang, chairman, Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence.
The speakers will share their knowledge on AI within and beyond both the U.S. and China, discuss the latest research in the field, and highlight how collaborative approaches play a role in the advancement of technology.
The conversation will be held in English and is free and open to all. For attendees in China, the time of the event is March 27 at 8:30 a.m. CST.
The Deans' Dialogue series began in 2020 and seeks to facilitate conversations among thought leaders in the U.S. and China who impact education in specific fields. These events align with the Cornell China Center's vision to build an intellectual and experiential bridge between Cornell and China.
