Dianella crash

A 32-year-old man has been charged after a traffic crash in Dianella about 9pm last night, 27 August 2020.

It will be alleged the man was driving a Ford Falcon sedan along Walter Road West when he became involved in a verbal altercation with a male pedestrian walking along the same road.

It will be further alleged as the pedestrian crossed Walter Road West near Birkett Street the man swerved the Ford Falcon to strike the pedestrian. The driver drove away before parking on Shaftesbury Avenue and returning to the victim.

The 48-year-old pedestrian was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital with a shoulder injury and facial lacerations.

The 32-year-old driver from Noranda has been charged with Acts or Omissions, with Intent to Harm, cause Bodily Harm. He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on 14 September 2020.
