Disaster assistance has been made available in the Livingstone and Noosa Shires to assist communities hit by November's Queensland bushfires.
Assistance is provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-Queensland Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
Minister for Natural Disaster and Emergency Management David Littleproud said personal hardship assistance and essential services safety grants were available in affected communities.
"This will help bushfire-hit communities get through this with dignity," Minister Littleproud said.
"This will help meet the immediate needs of people in the fire zone, providing things like food and clothing.
"It can also help replace basic household needs such as smoke-damaged bedding when people return to their homes.
"We've acted swiftly to provide immediate financial support to those in need.
"This will also help fund the emergency response and clean up.
"Conditions are still volatile so the Commonwealth and State governments are working identify where further assistance is needed."
Queensland Minister for Fire and Emergency Services Craig Crawford said thousands of residents had been evacuated across the state with regions remaining on high alert.
"Emergency services personnel are working tirelessly to contain the numerous fires that continue to devastate communities across Queensland," Minister Crawford said.
"As we have already seen this season, bushfires can have a devastating effect on our communities and it is important we remain vigilant as the dry conditions continue.
"By working together, the Commonwealth and Queensland governments are ensuring that the Livingstone and Noosa regions are receiving immediate support to recover.
"We will continue to work with all impacted councils to determine which assistance will best support these communities in their recovery."
