Driver caught speeding by 70km/h

A 49-year-old Strahan man has had his vehicle clamped and will appear in court, after being caught driving more than 70km/h over the speed limit.

Police detected the grey Holden Commodore travelling at 171km/h in a 100km/h zone about 12:30pm on Friday.

The car was travelling north between Strahan and Zeehan, and police intercepted the driver near Little Henty River.

Police need the community's support to keep our roads safe. Enough is Enough when it comes to breaking the rules and putting other motorists at risk.
