Drugs found, man to face court in Sutherland

A man will face court in July after police allegedly located drugs and a prohibited weapon during a search of a vehicle, NSW Police say.

About 7.40pm yesterday, police observed a Holden Commodore parked on the side of Linden Street, Sutherland.

Officers stopped and spoke to the driver, a 24-year-old man from Miranda, and subsequently searched the vehicle.

During the search officers allegedly located small plastic bags containing white powder, pills and a brown substance, MDMA, drug paraphernalia, a stun gun, cash and multiple mobile phones.

He was arrested and charged with possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug, possess prescribed restricted substance, and possesses prohibited weapon.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 6 July 2017.
