A man will appear in court today after over 170 cannabis plants were located in a house in Yagoona.Strike Force Zambesi, comprising officers from South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squads, Wetherill Park and Bass Hill, was established in April 2011 to target the hydroponic cultivation of cannabis in the region.About 8.30am yesterday, Strike Force Zambesi officers executed a search warrant at a home on McMahon Road.It will be alleged police located over 170 cannabis plants as well as a cannabis cultivation set-up.All items have been seized for forensic examination.A 44-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with a number of drugs offences including cultivate prohibited drug and use/consume/waste electricity without authorisation, NSW Police say.

He was refused bail and will appear in Bankstown Local Court today.
