Drugs seized in Truganina and Wyndham Vale warrants

Detectives from Altona North Divisional Response Unit alongside investigators from Joint Task Force ICARUS have charged two men following an investigation into the importation of illicit drugs.

Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on Portland Avenue, Truganina on 27 February and arrested a 22-year-old man.

He has since been charged with import marketable quantity of MDMA, import traffickable quantity of cocaine, and possess LSD.

The Truganina man has been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 4 March.

Yesterday investigators arrested a second man and a subsequent search of a house in in Lancewood Rd, Wyndham Vale led to the seizure of a quantity of illicit and prescription drugs.

A 21-year-old Wyndham Vale man has since been charged with:

• 2 counts of import marketable quantity of MDMA;

• traffick MDMA;

• 3 counts of import traffickable quantity of cocaine;

• 2 counts of traffick cocaine;

• Import marketable quantity of LSD; and

• other drug possession charges

He was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 17 April.
