Congratulations to the Event Durham team who have been announced as a finalist in the Business Events Venue of the Year category at the 2024 North East England Tourism Awards.
The Awards celebrate quality, innovation and best practice in tourism throughout the region, highlighting the North East's exciting visitor offering. A total of 14 categories will be awarded in a ceremony on Thursday 29 February 2024 at Newcastle Civic Centre, with winners continuing to represent the region at the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
Business Events Venue of the Year
The Business Events Venue of the Year award acknowledges the huge importance of the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector of the tourism industry. Business tourism is immensely important to the North East and is a huge contributor to the regional economy, with thousands of delegates travelling here from all over the world to attend events every year.
Being shortlisted as a finalist recognises Event Durham's service delivery, innovation in tourism and business excellence.
