- Cook Government makes it easier for Carnarvon community to access essential transport services
- Carnarvon Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure Service Centre moving to new, more central location supporting better service delivery in regional WA
- New premises to operate from Tuesday, 3 March 2026
The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) Carnarvon Service Centre is moving from the boat harbour to a more central, easy to access location at 30 Robinson Street.
The Robinson Street premises will open for business on Tuesday, 3 March 2026 and provide a more inviting experience for customers.
Along with expanded space and two service counters, the new location offers improved accessibility with a ramp and wide doorway for wheelchair access.
DTMI's friendly staff and available services such as licensing, boat registrations, NDIS applications, photo cards and more, will remain unchanged.
Current operating hours of Monday to Friday 8.15am to 4.30pm will also continue.

Customers can also use DoTDirect online to pay for licences and manage their information anytime, anywhere.
The last day of servicing customers at the current boat harbour location will be Thursday, 26 March 2026.
As stated by Minister Assisting the Transport Minister Jessica Stojkovski:

"This timely relocation reflects the Cook Government's dedication to improving service efficiency and accessibility to transport services for our regional customers.
"By moving to a more central location, we're making it easier for Carnarvon locals to get the services they need, when they need them.
"The move to the Carnarvon CBD supports to the improvements already underway to energise the main street and create a more convenient experience for visitors to the service centre."
