The annual Bingara Angler's Club Easter Fish will go ahead on the Easter long weekend this April with registrations at the Hatchery from 8am – 4pm Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd.

Back after a year's break, the event is looking forward to welcoming competitors from across the north west.

Bingara Angler's Club Treasurer Donna Walton says it should be a great weekend.

"In 2018 we had 182 entries and in 2019 there was 208, so after being forced to cancel last year we are hoping to come back with even bigger numbers," she said.

Competition categories will include Longest Cod, Longest Yellowbelly, Longest Catfish, Secret Length, Heaviest European Carp, Most European Carp and Secret Weight European Carp with prizes for Men's, Ladies, Boys and Girls (juniors 16 years and under).

Coming on board to supply all Carp prizes for the event is the Northern Slopes Landcare Association. They will provide a kayak to be presented to the winner of the Secret Weight Carp competition.

In addition, all registered entrants will go in the draw for the chance to will and second kayak and accessories thanks to the Angler's Club. The person drawn must be present at the Hatchery to receive the entry prize.

A raffle will be drawn on Easter Sunday at the Hatchery with tickets are available from the Sportsman's Hotel or contact Donna Walton on 0447 048 138.
