To formulate a national strategy for development financing, ESCWA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the Institute of National Planning in Cairo, organized a workshop from 28 to 2 March to prepare an integrated framework for financing sustainable development and sectoral development plans in Egypt.
ESCWA discussed the artificial intelligence modelling and simulation tools it has developed to better determine costs of sustainable development plans and ways to finance them, particularly in light of the global economic crises jeopardizing the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The integrated national strategy for development financing is important as it localizes the axes and financial resources that can be mobilized from various local and international sources.
