Eligible Tech & Equipment for BC On-Farm Adoption Program

The technologies and equipment must be new to the applicant and viable, commercialized and proven to help contribute to the profitability, productivity, or efficiency of an agricultural operation, including:

  • robotic equipment, such as fruit and vegetable picking platforms, harvesters or weeders, manure- and barn-cleaning robots
  • automated equipment, such as feeders, data collection, autosteer equipment, or animal-health monitoring
  • digital sensors or smart cameras (for example, GPS, pH, nutrient, temperature, moisture, asset monitoring, accelerometers)
  • technologies to enhance post-harvest packing and storage on-farm, such as automated sorters
  • software to assist with farm business, financial management, mapping and herd, crop, and soil management
  • high-precision GPS
