Emergency crews responding to fire at Perth function venue

Arson Squad detectives are seeking information regarding a fire at a Perth restaurant/function venue last night, Sunday 7 November 2021.

Around 10.25pm, police officers in the area noticed a large amount of smoke coming from the restaurant located on Mounts Bay Road and called Department of Fire and Emergency Services.

The fire caused significant damage to the right-hand side of the building with the damage bill estimated at $200,000.

The circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious.
