Emergency crews responding to house fire – Caversham

Arson Squad detectives are seeking information regarding a fire at a house in Caversham this morning, Saturday 2 May 2020.

About 1:00am Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to a house fire on Patricia Street, Caversham. The fire caused damage to the house and a vehicle parked in the garage.

The occupants of the residence were able to escape the fire without injury.

Just prior to the fire there was a disturbance in the front garden of the residence, involving a number of unknown people.

Arson Squad detectives attended and a full examination of the scene of the fire will be conducted today.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
