Evade Police Arrests - Gosnells to Kenwick

Gosnells Police have charged two women after an evade police incident that commenced in Gosnells and ended in Kenwick this morning, Saturday 20 November 2021.
About 6:50am yesterday, Friday 19 November 2021, a BMW Z3 coupe was stolen during a burglary in Kelmscott. About 1:20am today the stolen vehicle was sighted by officers from Gosnells Police at a service station on Albany Highway, Gosnells. As the officers approached the vehicle, the occupants left the service station in the vehicle at high speed.
Police Air Wing was in the area at the time and took over the monitoring of the stolen vehicle as it was driven through Maddington to Kenwick, where it was abandoned on Boundary Road. The helicopter crew guided officers on the ground to the driver's location, where she was arrested without incident. The passenger was arrested nearby a short time later.
A 20-year-old woman from Kenwick, who it is alleged was the driver, has been charged with:
- Aggravated Burglary and Commit
- Stealing
- Steal Motor Vehicle
- Steal Motor Vehicle and Drive Recklessly
- Fail to Stop
- Reckless Driving (to evade police)
- No Authority to Drive
- Breach of Bail
The passenger, a 22-year-old woman from Maddington, has been charged with 'Steal Motor Vehicle'.
Both women were refused bail and are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Saturday 20 November 2021.
