Exciting update on Cooma Regional Sports Hall

Indoor Soccer

The Snowy Monaro community is one step closer to a brand new and state-of-the-art indoor sports facility, with construction of the Cooma Regional Sports Hall drawing close to completion.

Council is excited to announce that the steel frame is now complete, and the building is taking shape.

"It is exciting to see the Cooma Regional Sports Hall coming together. Facilities like this are essential for building community in our regional areas," said NSW Minister for Sport Steve Kamper.

"The NSW Government is committed to investing in our grassroots sporting communities and providing our regional athletes with quality, fit-for-purpose sporting facilities."

With the project on track for completion in October 2023, we cannot wait to share this competition quality three-court sports hall with local sporting clubs and the wider Snowy Monaro community.

The Cooma Regional Sports Hall is a crucial addition to our community, especially for those living in one of the chilliest parts of Australia. With the facility, athletes of all ages can now participate in sports all year round, even during the coldest months of the year.

We are proud to provide our region with a tournament-ready facility, capable of hosting thrilling games of netball, basketball, futsal, volleyball and more. Snowy Monaro Regional Council extends our gratitude to the NSW Government for funding this project.

This investment will make a significant positive impact on our region's sporting and social landscape, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to come and play.
