Inclusive sport and recreation across Cairns will be showcased at an expo aimed to encourage people of all abilities to get involved and join a local sporting club.
The free Go Sport for Everyone Expo is an opportunity for people with all abilities to attend in an accessible space and learn about what local sporting clubs and organisations have on offer.
Cairns Mayor Bob Manning said the expo was part of Council's Go Sport for Everyone, an initiative designed to increase sport and recreation opportunities in Cairns for people with disability.
"Local sporting clubs play such an important role in providing access to sport and recreation opportunities to the community," Cr Manning said.
