Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged two men and seized a vehicle worth more than $1 million following a raid in Sydney's CBD.
Established in May 2025, Task Force Falcon targets all organised crime, public place shootings and gangland violence committed by Organised Crime Network's (OCN's) in Sydney.
Following the work of specialist police from State Crime Command with assistance of Metropolitan Regions and the NSW Crime Commission, Task Force Falcon have charged 824 people with 2319 offences.
On Thursday 3 September 2026, strike force detectives executed a search warrant at Abdella Avenue, Blacktown, where they allegedly seized brass knuckles, a knife and a Glock pistol.
No occupants were home at the time.
As inquiries continued, about 7.50pm yesterday (Thursday 17 September 2026), strike force detectives - with assistance from Public Order and Riot Squad - executed a search warrant at an apartment building on Bowman Street, Pyrmont.
During the search, an amount of drug and an armoured Mercedes Maybach worth an estimated $1.1 million were seized.
Two men - aged 29 and 30 - were arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station.
The 29-year-old man was charged with possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit and possess unauthorised firearm.
While the 30-year-old man was charged with breaching bail.
Both men were refused bail to appear at Bail Division Local Court 7 today (Friday 18 September 2026).
