Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash at Wardell, NSW Police Responding

Three men and a woman have died following a single-vehicle crash in the states north.

Shortly after 5.45am (Saturday 24 February 2024), emergency services were called to Back Channel Road, Wardell, following reports of crash.

Officers attached to Richmond Police District attended and located a blue Mazda BT50 utility that had left the roadway and had rolled.

The male driver and three passengers – two men and a woman – died at the scene.

A crime scene was established as specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Road closures are in place and drivers are urged to avoid the area.
