Firearms stolen during break-in, NSW

Police are investigating the theft of three firearms after a break and enter west of Bourke, NSW Police say.

Sometime between 7am on Monday 12 September 2016 and 12pm yesterday, a house on O’Grady Street in Wanaaring, 190 km west of Bourke, was broken into.

During the break and enter, three firearms and ammunition were stolen from a safe.

They include a .222 Ruger rifle, a .22 Lithgow bolt action rifle and a .22 Magnum rifle.

Officers from Darling River Local Area Command are continuing their inquiries and are appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact Crime Stoppers.
