Firework sparks fire at Woodville Park

Police are investigating after a firework was thrown into a front yard at Woodville Park last weekend.

About 5.20am on Sunday 20 December, the residents of Leslie Street East, Woodville Park, were awoken by two loud bangs.

Two suspects had thrown a commercial-grade firework into the front yard of a house and it exploded near the victim's vehicle damaging the front bumper. The firework also sparked a small grass fire in a neighbour's property across the road.

The suspects fled in a south-westerly direction along Park Street North. A vehicle then took off at speed travelling east on Radstock Street towards David Terrace.

One suspect is wearing a baseball cap, dark jumper and shorts. The other is wearing a dark hooded jumper.
