Police have charged five people and dismantled an alleged drug syndicate, following a drug operation in the state's Riverina.
In March 2026, officers attached to the Southern Region Enforcement Squad (RES), established Strike Force Pellika to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Wagga Wagga area.
About 6am yesterday (Thursday 30 April 2026), officers attached RES, with assistance from Southern Operations Group and Riverina Police District executed four search warrants homes in Bourkelands, Kooringal, Forest Hill and Moorong.
In total 5 men, aged 19, 21, 24, 25 and 26, were arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station and were charged with drug supply offences, including supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.
Cocaine, methylamphetamine and ketamine – with an estimated street value of more than $110,000 – was seized. Steroids, cannabis, cannabis seeds, a knuckle duster, taser, more than $8,000 cash and electronic devices were also seized.

About 6pm yesterday ( Thursday 30 May 2026), officers executed a search warrant at a home in Forest Hill. Police seized 11 grams of ketamine, 16 grams of cocaine, $3305 cash, fireworks, 3 electronic devices and steroids. A 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station. He was charged with seven offences, including supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis and supply prohibited drug and supply cannabis offences. He was granted conditional bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 6 May 2026.
Yesterday, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Bourkelands. Police seized 123 grams of cocaine 14 grams of ketamine, 67 grams of methylamphetamine, 40 grams of diazepam, 8 vials pf steroids, 30 buprenorphine strips, knuckle dusters, a taser and electronic devices. Two men, aged 24 and 26, were arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station. The 24-year-old was charged with seven offences including two counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis and three counts of possess prohibited drug. The 26-year-old was charged with 19 offences including six counts of supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis, restricted substance sold by non-wholesaler, possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance and possess prohibited weapon/firearm/imitation firearm in court. They were refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 5 today ( Friday 1 May 2026). A 19-year-old man was also arrested at the home and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station. He was charged with possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit. He was granted conditional bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 8 July 2026.
Yesterday, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Kooringal. Police seized 17 grams cocaine, 11 vials of steroids, 26 grams of cannabis, $4950 cash, electronic device and personal cards - police will allege were stolen. A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with seven offences including supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis, recklessly deal with proceeds of crime and three counts of possess prohibited drug. He was granted conditional bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 20 May 2026.
