The Victorian and Australian governments have announced funding support to flood affected people, families and businesses across Victoria - this includes Strathbogie Shire.
Flood Recovery Hotline 1800 560 760
The Flood Recovery Hotline is a single, state-wide number that Victorians impacted by the October 2022 floods can call for help with:
- Navigating available support
- Clean-up
- Temporary accommodation
- Mental health and wellbeing support
The Flood Recovery Hotline is open from 7.30am to 7.30pm every day.
Council Recovery Team
We have established a Flood Recovery Team to provide support to those whose homes or businesses in our Shire have been impacted by flood.

Victorian Emergency Relief Assistance Payment
The one-off payment is to help you and your household meet immediate and essential needs, like emergency shelter, food, clothing or personal items.
The Emergency Re-establishment Payment
The Personal Hardship Assistance Program helps people experiencing financial hardship in emergencies. The program includes Emergency Relief Payments and Re-establishment Assistance.
Australian Government Disaster Recovery Allowance
Support if you've lost income as a direct result of the Victorian Floods available for a maximum of 13 weeks.
Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment
A lump sum payment to help with major damage to your property or other assets.
