Former Teacher Charged With Further Offences

Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged a man with a further seven offences as part of their ongoing investigation into alleged historical child sexual abuse incidents by former teachers.

It will be alleged between 1983 and 1985, the man sexually assaulted a girl who was aged 15 at the time the abuse first started. It will be alleged the incidents occurred when the man was a teacher at a private college in the metropolitan area and the victim was a student of the man.

The 68-year-old man from Mosman Park has been charged with an additional offences of:

• 4 x Unlawful and Indecent Assault on a Female; and

• 3 x Defilement by Guardians, Employers, Teachers and School-masters

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 28 July 2020.
