Four Operation Ironside arrests, South Australia

Four men will face court today charged with conspiracy to cause serious harm as part of ongoing Operation Ironside investigations.

Early this morning, Friday 3 September, detectives from Serious and Organised Crime Branch, as part of Operation Ironside, with the assistance of STAR Operations, arrested four men.

The men are aged 43 from St Clair, 23 from Queenstown, 35 from Magill and 33 from Salisbury North.

It will be alleged the men are members of the Comancheros Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) who conspired to lure the intended victim to North Adelaide to seriously assault him with various weapons.

It will also be alleged the intended victim is also a member of the Comancheros.

All four men were refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

These arrests have resulted from the ongoing review of the AN0M material that is being undertaken by members attached to the Ironside Taskforce. Messaging that has been located during this review is intended to form part of the evidence to support the charges against these four men.

Detective Chief Inspector Darren Fielke, Officer in Charge, Drug and Organised Crime Taskforce, expects more arrests as part of Operation Ironside.

"Today's arrests are indicative of the continuing pressure that will be applied to outlaw motorcycle gangs and other criminal groups by the Ironside Taskforce. As the Taskforce continues to review the AN0M material we would expect a number of additional arrests to occur in the coming months.

"The offending alleged against the four men arrested today was to be committed against one of their own. This is another example of the disloyalty that exists within the supposed outlaw motorcycle gang brotherhood. I would strongly suggest those who are contemplating a gang lifestyle to reconsider their choices."
