Frankston stabbing

A man is in custody following an alleged stabbing in Frankston this morning.

Emergency services were called to Petrie Street about 12.05am after reports that a man had been stabbed.

On arrival they located a 35-year-old man with a laceration to his neck.

He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police attended a nearby address and arrested a 38-year-old man.

He is currently assisting police with their enquires and investigators believe the parties are known to each other.
