Free film event for Seniors Festival

Bass Coast Shire Council, in partnership with the Victorian Seniors Festival, is hosting a free Seniors Festival film and lunch event in Wonthaggi on Tuesday, 22 March.

Seniors Festival events are held across Victoria to honour senior community members and to encourage them to get out and about by participating in free or low cost activities.

The event includes a film screening at the Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre, as well as a lunch at the Wonthaggi Workmen's Club, free for Victorian Seniors Card holders. If you don't have a Seniors Card or you're a senior who would like to attend with a friend or relative who doesn't have a card, there are also paid tickets available for this event.

The morning session starts at 10.30am and features the film 'Belfast'. The afternoon session starts at 2.00pm and will feature the film 'Death on the Nile'.

Lunch can be enjoyed anytime between 12.00pm and 2.00pm at the Wonthaggi Workmen's Club, just across the road from the theatre.

Tickets are limited, so bookings are essential for all attendees through www.trybooking.com/871280 or by calling the Arts Centre on (03) 5671 2470.

Transport assistance to and from the event is available free of charge for Seniors Card holders and their companion/s from a number of central locations across Bass Coast. To request this assistance please contact Council's Social and Community Planning Team on 133 BCOAST (226 278) or (03) 5671 2211.
